That convention has met and done its work and placed before the people the PEOPLE'S TICKET, composed of men representing all shades of political thought, but representative men who will stand by the substantial interests of Grant county, caring for no othbr interest and pledged to no other work. The permanent organization of Grant county is a question that rises higher than the consideration of the ticket.

The question is, shall the county be organized as the result of the election on the 16th or will we clamor about office and candidates, and have such a slim majority as to get indefinably locked up in the courts? If any citizen of Grant county should think it his duty vote for Ulysses for county seat it would be perfectly consistent for him to do so, and at the same time vote the entire People's Ticket, and roll up a sufficient majority to make the organization the county a fixed fact. Stand by home and home interests, by voting the People's Ticket, and making a long delayed and expensive contest in the courts impossible.
