C. Corrigan, at 2 A Saturday, Sept. 21st, of typhoid pneumonia. Mrs. Corrigan came to this country from Canada about ten years ago in company with her husband.

Ed. Rheiner visited his parents over Sunday, and returned to Claflin Monday. The jury is about through with its work, and the rest of the term will be taken up with court cases. A. D.

Swisher has purchased the F. G. Sutton property in the west part of town. It is one of the best residence locations in the city. Mrs.

E. C. Thompson, who has been visiting Mr. Jeffries, near Cain City, took the train from Lyons Tuesday, for her home in Centerville Iowa. John McAnulty has sold over 200 and says he have over 300 bushbushels of apples in from his orchard els more.

He has made few barrels of cider, for which he found a ready market. Sheriff Stoddard took Havey Kizer to Leavenworth, last Thursday, where Harvey will spend next five years. The prisoner broke down at the lost moment and cried like baby. He said that he deserved two or thee years but five was too heavy. C.

C. Wolfe arrested Frank Kent Sunday for drunkenness and disurbance. In a little struggle Kent went through a glass in a store front and cut his shoulder to some extent. police Judge gave him Monday morning, which was promptly paid in. HOLYROOD ITEMS.

From The Enterprise. Dr. J. C. Beard of Cain City was in town on Business Tuesday afternoon It is arranged now so that there is preaching every Sunday in his Hollyrood, A glass ball shooting club organized in the Moeller neighborhood.

John Tullis of Lorraine, and his father from Iowa with ladies were over Monday afternoon looking over our beautiful little city. Mr C. Besthorn has the contract of putting up Fred Orth's new house. He is at present making the window and door frames here in town. A ten pound girl was born to Mr.

and Mrs. John Frederick of Alliance on Friday 13, 1889. Dr. MoDonald attending physician. Mr.

Jacob Ray Metamoria, Illinois arrived here Saturday evening. He has a farm a few miles west of Hollyrood, and intends building house on it this fall. Bert Stratman thrashed one theusand bushels of wheat last week, about third of his this years crop. His hard wheat made 42 bushels. per acre and his soft wheat 28 bushels.

Tom. Reynold had one foot badly smashed last Friday afternoon by the hand car running over it. This is a heavy blow on the family as Tom's wages were nearly the support of the family. Dr. Wallace is attending the case and reports it getting along as well as can be expected.

GENESEO ITEMS. From The Herald. The case against Myers and West has been dismissed. At the council meeting last night there was no, quorum. The suit J.

R. Bell against the Geneseo Town Company has been continued by consent. The father of R. E. Johnson, Mr.

J. H. Johnson, of Jackson, Ohio, is visiting with him here. Levi Hamilton's horse ran away, Tuesday and he was thrown. A broken leg is the result.

Steve Marts and W. E. Covert were looking after dramatic matters at the county seat Saturday. The general cleaning, up of our city is a move in right direction. The last kiln of ware burned at the Geneseo Pottery is the best yet turned out.

The kiln at Mr. Shenkel's pottery is now completed and ten thousand gallons of ware are being burned. Sir, Shenkel has taken great pains in the construction of this kiln masonery which has been done by F. H. Liscum Jand he confidently expects favorable results.

The neat steps on the south side of the Geneseo Bank building are the work of Joseph Walley. Mr. Walley has recently taken John Russell 88 a partner, and they expect soon to make several additions to the facilities of there already excellent carpenter shop. The large assemblage of people at the Methodist church last Friday was an eloquent testimonial of the respect in which Mrs. Sapp was held in this community.

The funeral sermon was delivered by the Rev. H. C. the Montgomery, who was assisted services by Rev, E. B.

Wells. The interment was at the Cemetery, and is the first made there. Friends and patrons of the Bluff City Lumber Company. I wish to announce that I will be absent from here for about five months from Oct. 1st, and all accounts and notes will in other hands.

I would be pleased if all that have notes and accounts with me will call and have the same settled as far as can. And further I will state that I expect a shipment of No. 1 yellow pine, dimension stuff and intend to keep a stock of that grade constantly on hand. And I expect to sell on only living figures. Come here when you want to buy and you will treated right.
