About twenty members were present and most of them spoke of Mr. Perkins as they knew him and as they had come in contact with him. Words of praise, eulogizing the prominent life led by him, were spoken by all. They were unanimous in saying that -their business and social connections with Judge Perkins had been always of the most pleasant and friendly kind. Webb, of Parsons, and Judge J. S. West particularly of a touching and affectionate nature, faultlessly eloquent and every word well chosen. Judge Webb occupied the Bench immediately preceding Judge Perkins' elevation to that honorable position, and has lived a neighbor to deceased, at Oswego since Perkins was a youth just arrived at man's estate. Judge West today ably bears the same honor once bourne by the distinguished gentleman in whose sacred memory this meeting was held.
