The game of Gare or Bean, was played by young and old with much enthusiasm, each one present was given a sack, containing ten beans and given in-structions to go around and get their neighbors to tell them some of their cares or worry, then they must forfeit a bean to their listener. The one having the most beans at the end of an hour was to receive a prize, this brought forth many hearty peals of laughter at the vain efforts to obtain the coveted bean, and for the hour, the assembly was quite free from cares. Richard Ben-dprf sr.

was the successful one and received a box of chocolates. Another novelty, was the baby picture, each invitation bore the request to bring their picture taken when a baby, seventeen photo's were taken and these were numbered, and each person wrote the number and who they was, the one guessing the most correctly was to receive a soverign, this was quite a study as some pictures showed the niark of many years. Stella Chitwood was the best guess and was given a small framed picture. The evening was soon gone, and at 11:30 light refreshments, in the form of a lap supper was served, consisting of coffee or cocoa, cakes, and candy, and the hostess was assisted at supper by the Messrs.
