It represents an old hollow stump the tree having blown down leaving top of stnmp very irregular, on the side a large water sprout has been cot off leaving the natural impress of the axe. On one side between two large roots a stump tail dog is going into a hole aftera rabbit but he la a little too late, the rabbit being already half way out on the other tide of the stnmp. There Is a large amount of nature portrayed in this little work of art and recalls to all men thousands of little incidents in their younger days while hunting rabbits with a dog. Mr.

Two weeks ago the Farmer's State Bank closed it's doors, the cashier staling that the business would be discontinued. Wednesday, of this week the president, -John Jack, went to El Dorado and had i Ayres appointed receiver.
