Kramer; 3rd, Parker Corbin; 4th, I N. Woodward. Theo. Griffith was first nominated for mayor, but declined to serve. The convention was very orderly and conducted its work with apparent good feeling all around.

The contests for severalffiees were very spirited and four or five ballots were taken in almost every instance, except for Treasurer of city and Board of Education, which were by acclamation. The ticket as a whole is a very good one and will doubtless receive the party vote; some of the candidates, however, feel that they were not treated quite fairly, and are out of humor, but this is politics. Somebody is always left, and it is natural to feel sore; the ticket would have been just as good with the others on it, but it is named and that ends it. We notice in the Hutchinson News that A. C.
