"A good flouring mill at this point would do an excellent business, besides contributing largely to the improvement of the place. There are thousands of dollars worth of capital to-day, looking for an eligible investment, and if our most influential citizens would interest themselves in the matter, they might attract it to this place, in the form of a mill, a creamery, of some other equally valuable enterprise.

It takes work work, both in season and out of season, to secure such important in considerable numbers, on the corn. Not much apprehension is felt so long as rains continue seasonable. II. W. Miller, station agent at this place, is laying off for a few days, taking a rest.

Mr. M. has really been over-worked here, during the past three or four months, and needs a good rest. Warm winds two days of last week, but no injury to the crops resulted. The rain which followed, counteracted all bad effects, ami the prospects of an immense corn crop this season, continue good.
