Smith, formerly Smith Coleman's elevator at this place. Mr. Hopkins willhave charge of the elevator at this place and we bid him a hearty welcome to our thriving little town and hope that he will feel himself at home in our midst. He expects the arrival of his family in September. On Wednesday G.

W. Higgins shipped 15,720 pounds of wool to Hartford, where the same has been sold on the following condition; If the Mills bill passes 17 cents, if it does not pass 27 cents per pound. This will make a difference of $1,572 whether the bill will or will not pass. This together with the depreciation of the sheep in case that bill should pass will make a difference to Mr.IIiggins of from 2,000 to $2,500. There are a number of parties in this county who ars affected in likewise amounts and others whose losses in consequence of this bill are smaller.
