The last two of these towns are nearest the geographical center of the state. And we all are or should be selfish enough to have home interests at heart first, and it therefore should be our duty to work with a will and get it located as near our own part of the state as possible, it being at the same time nearer the center. Our present Capitol building is altogether too small and the building is said to be in bad shape. The walls are cracked and unsafe. There is at present a five mill levy being used for fciilding large additions to it and the basement walls are about all that is completed of this large structure and -at its present rate of progress it will take five or more years to complete the ame.

For this reason an effort should be made to have the work stopped and the levy be used for the new head quarters of the state.
