The party consisted of ten or twelte gentlemen, personal friends of Messrs. Cadle and Stevenson, and the boys will doubtless remember last night's social gathering for along time to come. Good night was said about 12 o'clock, and the gentlemen went home with a deeper feeling of pleasure than had possessed their bosoms for many a day.

The glass fronts are being put in the different stores of the opera house block, a general cleaning up of froken brick and other rubbish is going on in front, several of the merchants have moved considerable goods into the cellars, aud everything points to an early occupyancy of the four store rooms of the new building, when trade will boom greater than ever.
