The local receipts were divided among the butchers and stock ers and feeders. With a strong demand and trading active salesmen report 10c loss. Butcher Cattle. At the session not many butcher steers had been offered. Most of the offerings were cows and heifers.

The quality of this class, was badly mixed and the loss was plainly shown. Canners and cutters were fairly liberal and there was a good demand for them from the packers. Prices" ranged steady with the top at $3.00 and the bulk ranging from $2.50 up to this price. The 'bull sup ply was limited and the offerings were mostly of a lighter grade. There was a strong demand and considering the quality prices looked steady.

Only a few vealerB were shown and those weigh Ing from 150 to 200 pounds brought the high prices; $7.50 was the top and several' head brought $7.25. The bulk weighed over 200 pounds and prices ranged from $4.50 to $5.50. About a 5c loss; was shown on all sales of light calves. In the heavy division only a few were offered. These were fairly good, bringing 'steady prices rrom $4.50 to $5.00.
