An opportunity being given for citizens present to talk, several citizens proceeded to address the council concerning tho grade oldlnauce. William T. Sinclair said; I employed Ed. Thompson to run the grade aud elevation and to inform me of the proposed cut at my property.

I felt no confidence iu the plat as presented to the council. Mr. Thompson reports a radical dif-ferency between the plat and his survey. We will not submit to the spoiling of our property. Ask the council to reconsider their action.

It has been hurried through, There has been engineering skill iu the council chamber if not in the plat. This will make an enormous expense aud lead to much troublesome litigation. Spnrr'.
