The Fort Scott Moni'rV announces the death of Charity Deckard, probably the oldest inhabitant of Fort Scott, who died at her home on tbo Plaza, last Wednesday, at tho age of 101 years, 0 months and 22 days.

Mrs. Deckard was bom in East Tennessee, April 3, 1778. Her father was a Cherokee Indiauand her mother a colored woman. From Tennessee she moved to Arkansas, and there she became acquainted with Mrs. Julia Rcilly.

Blind institution at Wyandott Present Juno 30, 58; total capacity, 125; number to bo provided for, 70, Feeble minded institution, temporarily located at Lawrence Present June 30, 20; total capacity, 20; number to bo provided for 30. Reform school at Topeka Present nne 30, 54; total capacity, 125; number to be provided for, 125. This makes the totat estimated number to be provided for during the biennial period ending Juno 30, 18S2, requiring an appropriation of $186,800, or an annual per capita cost of 226.42. The institutions of Illinois contain 2,116 inmates, at an nmrial cost per capita to the state of $214.12.
