Miss Jennie Richards came in Wednesday morning from Lamar, Colorado, for a two weeks visit with her father and brothers. The George Downing family moved last week back to their old home in Augusta. Mr. Downing and family made many friends while here. Mrs. C. L. Owens, and son, Charles, of Newton, came i in Sunday for a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.

P. Mushrush Dead. Mrs. Martha Mushrush, of Matfield Green, died at a hospital in Topeka, Monday evening, March 27th after few weeks illness with pneumonia. The remains were brought to this city day afternoon and taken to Matfield Green, where funeral services were held at the Christian Church, Wednesday afternoon and were conducted by Rev.

Strange after which interment was made in the Matfield Green Cemetery. She is survived by her husband and two sons, Roy, of Cottonwood Falls and Tom, of the home. Annual School Meeting. The tax payers of school district, 41, are urged to be present at this meeting, Friday, April 14, as there is some very important business to be attended to. Our school house is in very bad repair, so much so that it is unsafe to be used.
