I. Walker of Kansas City and Miss Mary Wheeler, of Blue Rapids, were married Tuesday evening, in Blue Rapids, Rev. Dametz officiating. On his return trip to Kansas City Mr. Walker with his bride made a brief visit in Vliets with his father, Banker Geo.

F. Walker and family. The other day a tramp appeared at a house near Hutchinson with a live cat in his hand and asked the lady of the house for a little salt. When she asked what he wanted with the salt he said he was starving, but too proud to ask for to eat and was going to -cook the cat. Of course the woman was touched and gave tha tramp the best she had in the house.

A sample of J. H. Walker's corn which was placed in front of the Erno office Wednesday, attracted ewlsiderable attention. He brought two stalks of corn to this ffiee that are hard to beat. A sample of his sweet corn shows hat roasting ears can be had next week.
