School Notes (English III) Miss Victoria Keck, one of our Juniors was taken to the St Joseph hospital last week. The H. S. pupils and teachers sent her a shower of post cards and besides the Seniors sent her a box of beautiful as-orted carnation. Word was received the first part of the week that she is recovering rapidly, and we are looking forward to the day when she will be with us again.

Last Tuesday evening March 27, the Sophomors gave a banquet in honor of the Seniors. Previous to to the supper those present were favored by a number of appropriate orchestra selections. Following the JamesFlannagan east of town purchased an Overland touring car last Friday. M. DeLair is having an addition built to his residence.

Rev W. Tweed went to Hanover FriilHy evening to make arrangements for moving there this week. He remained over Sunday and preached his first sermon at his new charge. Phone the news to C-15. The City Election The election of city officers held Monday passed off very quietly, there being no contest for any of the offices There was a very light vote polled.

Oketo will be managed for the next two years by a ladies council, and a ladv mayor and police judge, the entire ladies ticket being elected. Mrs. Z. H. Moore, the newly elected mayor is an old resident of Oketo and no doubt will rHake a splendid W.

This will be an all day meeting with the business session and the election of officers in the fore-noon and a program in the afternoon. Dean Jardine and Mr. Umberger from the Agricultnral college will be with us at this time and the MarysvilleCommercialClub who is co operating with us in the meeting will all take part in the program. Dinner will be served at noon by some of the local organizations in Marysville.

Every body is invited to attend whether Bureau members or not. ing a nice time. The graduating claass of 1917 was fortunate in securing Professor Raymon Schwegler of the University of Kansas to give the commencement address. The title of the address is: "The Three Chambers of Life." Professor Schwegler is one of the most accomplished commencement orators in the west. Eeglish III have taken up the study of Pape's Essays on Criticism Each member of the class must admit that he has more or leas criticising ability.
