HEISEY. Editor. Our Endeavor Society has done work in recent months We have a fine group of young people who are able to make an in teresting Sunday evening program Rev. Bergstresser gave an inspiring talk to the young people on the evening of January 22, and the lec ture on the, evening of the twentythird, which was also -under the auspices of this Society, was most excellent. We shall be delighted to have Rev.

Bergstresser come again. Shall the Society celebrate the twentieth anniversary of its organization. That date is in July, at a time when it will not be very difli cult to secure speakers for a pro gram, if that kind of a program is desired. The pastor, suggests that a committee be appointed in. the near future to arrange for, the celebration.

It has been suggested several times that a E. Society be organized at Blanchville and we believe the time to be ripe for such an organization There are many young people who are capable of working in such a society, and there are those who would soon develop into good workers The religious life of the community would be greatly benefitted by Christian Endeavor work, and certainly social, life among the young people could be fostered in many very pleasant and profitable ways. She and her mother were vis ting relatives and friends in Waterville at the time. The Christian Endeavor will have a social in the banquet. room of the city hall on St.

Patrick's Day, March 17th. There will be plenty of entertainment and a good lunch, so we hope all the young people will arrange to be present. Funerals Attended. Mr. Irving Wheeler died in this city at the home of his father and mother on Dec.

29. He was about 49 years of age and had been a sufferer for several years. His family, wife and three daughters, have their home in Marysville, Kansas. Mr. John Flook died at Siloam Springs, Ark, where he had been taking treatment for several months, on Jan.

31.. His death was almost entirely unexpected to his friends here. His remains, were laid to rest in the Harbaugh demetery, Feb. 2. A short service was held at the grave.

Mr Flook's father and mother. were. charter members. of the Waterville congregation. The mother still lives, but is in feeble A brother is a member of the church council at present.

Mrs. Anna Brandt Olson died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hanna Goff, on Feb. 11. Her funeral was held on Monday at 10:30 a.

at the home. Mrs. Olson. was 75 years of age at her death. The pastor had often called on her and had held four funerals in the Olson home before.

She was a member of the Cottage Hill church. Mrs. Ida Peterson Watters died of consumption at the home of her father and mother near Bremen, Feb. 10. She leaves two little girls and her husband.

The children will have a good home with the grand-parents, but it was sad to see the mother leave them so young, only 24. The husband, Mr. Daniel Watters has gone to Colorado. Mrs. Watters was a member of the Walnut township church.

Mrs. James Nelson died at her home near Greenleaf, Kas, Feb. 9. The illness was very brief and the grief stricken husband and friends could hardly believe the truth. The wedded life began less than two years ago and was SO happy in the farm home that the passing has heen a shock ty the whole community.

The funeral service was held at the home Feb. 13, and the burial was at Maplewood cemetery. Miss Arceno, E. J. Wills, the oldest of the Wills sisters, died at the home on Sunday afternoon, Feb.
