F. McCollough shipped out a car of hogs and two cars of cattle Monday night. A new shingle roof has been put on the Bradley residence occupied by the McAdams family. Miss Mary Gustin of the Star Grocery purchased new Ford ton delivery truck last Thareday. Mrs.

M. McPherson sold a Ford coupe Tuesday to Ed Reeder of Silver Lake and a Ford Sedan to Mr. and Mrs. H. J.

Miller of Topeka is spending the week with the C. E. Gresser family. Soon after the Fourth she will leave for a visit in Illinios accompanied by Master Joe Gresser. Miss Clara Marie Wood of Topeka and Mrs.

Lulu Dexter of Silver Lake were the guests of Miss Ella Williams and Mra. Harry Heasley a couple of days While packing her trunk Monday, in preparation for a visit in the en st, Miss Ruth Rogers scraped her foot on a rug and drove 11 needle into her foot. In removing the needle it was broken and it was thought a portion had been left in the flesh. An X-Ray picture was taken in Topeka but nothing was discovered. Afterward Mra.

Little Seminta Ortega, who ate some Maple seeds some time ago is dangerously sick. Miss Pauline Kellner visited Miss: Norn a Hook last Sunday. Mrs. Jay Henry is suffering quite badly from rheumatism. Next Sunday is the day get apart in the Methodist church for a service to the old people.

Landie, 71, died at his home, eight miles northwest of North Topeka at 7:30 o'clock Thursdy night. He cameto Kansas from Pennsylvania and lived on his farm near Kiro for the past forty-four years.

He also taught school at the Pleasant Ridge and Silver Lake schools between 1878 and 1880. He is survived by his widow and ten children. Funeral services were held Saturday. The deceased is the father of Mr. Dan Landis of this city Graham Bound Over F.

Graham, formerly of the Delia neighborhood, who is in trouble over alleged indiscretions at Maple Hill, was bound over to the district court at Alma following a hearing June 15.
