I the undersigned Mayor of the City of Sabetha of the Sta'e of Kansas do hereby proclaim and give notice that in put suance to tbe request of Tbe Board of Education of the City of Sabetha, of The State of Kansas, of date May 11th, 1908, a special election of the qua'ined voters of the City of Sabetha of tbe State of Kansas and territory thereto attached for school purposes, will be held on Thursday the 11th day of June, 1908, to be conducted In all re spects as are elections for city officers in said city, except that the returns be made to The Board of Edu cation of the City of Sabetha of the Sta'e of Kansas, for the purpose of taking the sense of said District upon tbe question of issuing tbe binds of Tbe Beard of Education of the Citv of Sabetha of tbe State of Kansas, to the extent of Twenty three Thousand ($23,000.00) Dollars, for the purpose of building and com pleting a school bouse insa'd City, said bonds to be of the denomination of Two Hundred and Fifty ($250.00) dollars each, and to draw interest from the date thereof at the rate of four and one balf (41) per cent per annum, payable semi annually, and to mature in from eight to twenty years from tbe date thereof.

Last week tbe Herald printed story of H. H. Lynn's thrilling experiences as freighter and pioneer of Kaasas in the early days. Tbe second generation of Lynns, Leonard Lynn, is now having some experiences as a pioneer of Montana. It will bo recalled that the telegraph recently related of the giving way of immense dams in' Montana.

The dams broke above Craig, Montana, the borne of Leonard Lynn and family.
