This woman's experience was awful and should be a warning to all.

Listen. An invitation came over the phone Monday to dinner and was accepted under protest, as it was wash day. When the clock was about to strike the hour, and after a hurried toilet had been made, this gay little matron sallied forth to the table laden with good things to eat, but, lo and behold when she arrived at the home from where she thot the invitation had come, no one was at home. Realizing that she made a mistake, but being none the less hungry, she meekly applied at the home of Beveral other friends, where the invitation might have come from, but they knew nothing of sending out invitations to dinner. And finally, after a strenuous half hour trying to locate the plate that awaited her, she returned to her own domicile and prepared a meager meal which had to take the place of a sumptuous feast that her apetite was whetted for.

During her hunt for the vacant place at the table her telephone was calling her to it, as she was late, but there was no one to answer. When the phone finally did inform her that the dinner was waiting, it was too late. Arthur Cramer and his gang are putting in a new concrete bridge near the Motzkus place north of town.
