Jones. Mrs. Estella J. Jones died at Elkhart, Nov. 30, 1918.

She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Blair.

She was born in Iowa June 11, 1882, and was married to J. P. Jones, Oct. To this" union five children were born. She leaves a husband, five little children, a mother, two sisters and a brother to mourn her loss.

She was a loving wife and mother, always doing for her children. She joined the M. E. church when but a child. She contracted influenza, which ran into, pneumonia, and she quietly passed into the Great Beyond.

Ira Llovd Stewart. Ira Llovd Stewart died near Elkhart Nov. 23. He was the son of Orin W. and Rosa Stewart.

He was ill seven days with Influenza and double pneumonia. He was born in Wayne county, Iowa, Aug. 28. 1899, and was 19 years, 2 months and 26 days of age. He received his call to the army for Nov.

14, but hearing war was over waited for the next enll. The day he died he took his mother's hand and said, "I have another call now and I am going now. Don't worry, good bye," and he smiled. He leaves a father, mother, and four brothers his twin brother, Arva Floyd, and Wm. Everett, Merritt Theodore, Archie Edward, and a sister, Mary Edith.

Azaliah Jackson Hubbard. Azaliah Jackson was born in Carroll county, October 13,1877, and died at her home in Elkhart, Dec. 7, 1918, at the age of 41 years. She came from Illinois to Arkansas with her parents when but a child, and from thence. to Oklahoma, living for some years at Guthrie.

Here she was married to L. W. Hubbard. She wis survived by her husband, L. W.

Hubbard, of Elkhart, by her mother, Mrs. Jane Lackson, of Two Buttes, by three brothers, A. W. and Nase Jackson of Plains, and Erasmus C. Jackson, of Coger, Oklahoma; and by two sisters, Mrs.

Lulu M. Cullins, Lovena, Oklahoma, and Miss Bessie A. Jackson, of Elkhart, Kan. Mrs. Hubbard, was a good woman, pleasant and kindly, alwas ready to help in sickness or needs.

She endeared herself to her neighbors and will be greatly missed from the circle of relatives, friends and acquaintances who knew and loved her for her true worth. Eugene L. Smith Dead Syracuse Republican-News. The many friends of Gene Smith, proprietor of the Elkhart Tri-State News, were shocked to learn of his death from pneumonia following an attact of influenza. His sons, Ted and Cecil, arrived home in time to be with their father in his last hours.

The passing of Editor Smith, in the prime of life, from a community where he has always exerted a powerful influence for good, is a distinct loss, not only to wise his to home the community, profession, but like: had weekly views of his public spiritedness and literary energie, Large hearted, genial and sunny in disposion, capable as a writer, tireless in his, efforts for the development of Morton county's resources, and ever zealous for the recognition of his home town as the best in the southwest, he will indeed be -missed.
