published in the LEBO ENTERPRISE Feb. 28, 1907.1 Election Proclamation. C. F. Miller, Mayor of the city of Lebo, Coffey County, State of Kansas, do hereby proclaim and make known unto the qualified voter of said city, that an annual election will be held in said city 011 Monday, April 1, 1907, for the purpose of electing the following named officers for the ensuing year: Mayor, councilmen, Police Judge, and five And I hereby designate the building between the meat market and the Ogden residence, south main street, as the place 111 said city where said election will be held, and do also appoint the following named persons to act as judges and clerks of said city election; Judges--A.

G. Tuller, J. M. Dunfield and I. N.

Arnold. Clerks--N. E. Bakker and G. H.

Reid jr. The polls will be open promptly at eight o'clock a. and closed promptly at six o'clock p. m. The judges and clerks must be on hand promptly at the time and place above mentioned or a substitute will be selected from the bystanders.

In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand as Mayor of said city, and have caused the seal to be attached hereto, this 26th day of February, A. D. 1907. C. F.

Hunt. Charleston, Tuesday, Feb. 12-Mrs, Margaret J. Hunt, wife of Thos. Hunt, died this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs.

M. M. Bowman. Mrs. Hunt was born at Newark Ohio, March 22, 1830.

Her grandfather, Capt. Samuel Elliot, a Revolutionary officer, was one of the first settlers of Licking Co. Ohio. Her parents died when she was 13 years of age. She began teaching school at the age of 14 years and taught in the Newark, Ohio, schools 14 years.

In the meantime she educated herself, graduating at the Presbyterian Woman's College at Granville, Ohio, in 1852. She was married to Thos. Hunt at Pataskala, Ohio, February 21, 1860. To this union there were born 3 daughters, all of whom, with her husband, who is 82 years of age, survive her, and were with her at the time of her death. The daughters are Mrs.

Charles W. Latham of West Seattle; Mrs. S. J. Bower, of Fremont; and Mrs.

M. M. Bowman, of this place. Mr. and Mrs.

Hunt moved with their family to Lebo, in 1886. In 1894 the family moved to Bothell, where the aged couple have made their home 1111 til their health failed, since which time they have made their home with their daughters. Mrs. Hunt has been an active member of the Presbyterian church since early girlhood and was a member of the Eastern Star. for many years.

The funeral will take place from Carten's undertaking parlors, at Fremont, tomorrow at 1 111. Imerment in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. -Seattle Daily Times. (The family are well remembered in Lebo, and have the sympathy of all in their affliction) Grandma Hickle.

Margaret Ann Gray was born in Virginia Sept. 2, 1836, She was married to Isaac Hickle in 1861, and came to Kansas 30 years ago. She died at her home in Lebo Feb. 24, 1907, and was ied in Lincoln cemetery Tuesday, Feb. 26, 1907, the funeral being held at the Baptist Church.

She leaves her husband Isaac Hickle, and two children, Perry R. Hickle of this place, and Mrs. L. M. Haff.

ner, of Halls Summit, one child having died in infancy. Mrs. Hickle joined the M. E. church when a girl and has been a faithful member till death.
