I The supreme court dodged a decision in the constiutionality of the iaw taxing judgments yesterday by dis- missing a case in which that question was raised on tht ground that it should have been brought In the dis- trict court. The case was a suit in mandamus filed by George A. Hamilton to compel J. M. Wilson, clerk of Ellsworth county, to issue an execution for a balance due on a judgment held against Thomas A.

Rankin for $563. It seems that Hamilton was Ignorant of the existence of the Kansas law taxing judgments. Tho judgment which he held against Rankin was put up at tax sale under the provisions of the law. Rankin bought it in for $13, thus canceling the entire debt. When Hamilton A Restaurant noted for its good coffee, Arbuckles' alone is used.

Its fame is spreading everywhere. In millions of homes it is used exclusively. There's no experiment about its goodness it's the result of experience. The attractive price is the result of large buying. It is more profitable to sell millions of pounds at a mall profit than a few hundred at a large profit.

The tinal reports for the year were made showing a balance in the treasury of it, and 85 members. The old ollicers were elected as follows: President, J. T.

Prendergast. Vice president, A. It. Hose. Secretary, K.

The Commercial club last night took the lirst step toward securing for Abilene a government building" for postoflic purposes. The growth of the city's postoflice business and the cramped quarters which the government now uses together with the probability that there will be free delivery in a few years makes it of importance that the city go after a permanent government headquarters. The club will endeavor through the congressman from this district and the senators from Kansas to secure an appropriation of least for such a building. It w'll be a credit to the town and make a considerable addition to its attractions. The following committee was named to take the initiative steps: T.
