June 10th THE WKATHEH grm to Reflector 10 a. m.i bul letln In window. tilturtcrw Kini'lit and A day is set aside by dealers th roughout the I'nlted States to show the Housewife a new means of comfort and economy, a day that will he observed in Abilene.

yyuLy liftOST of high living" is a question discussed by American Housewives everywhere. I low can the housekeeper be more economical of time, energy and money. The commission form of government for Abilene will not go into effect for several months probably a year or more If ever. The hearing in district court on the Injunction against the council to prevent the convassing of the vote for commissioners came up today at the adjourned session. Moore At Humphrey, attorneys for tbe businessmen, were ready for trial on the merits of the commission election.

C. S. Crawford and G. Hind, representing the city administration argued that the district court could not decide the case on its merits on the action as brought at present. Judiie King refused lo hear any evidence and held that he could not decide the matter of the validity of the commission government in this action.

This leaves it where it was before and shows a sense of weakness on the part of the administration which is evidently afraid to try the matter on its merits. However, it nn rely postpones such trial for the judges derision will be nppealc to tii- s.i preme court and some day it will come to a real trial of the validity of the election on 1st. In the meantime city government will remain as at present. It will probably be a year or more before the matter is s'ttled. Kitchen Cabinet June 4 to II The Krt'atcst bargain of the season.

This morn ing at ten o'clock several hundred of the people connected with the Great Parker Street Fair gathered at the site of the proposed factory on South Fourth street and standing in a line behind a huge sign which read "Lea- venwouth, the New llot), of the Great Parker Shows" were photo graphed. Then Mr. Charles W. Parker, the hea 1 of the great organization made a few remarks about his plans for the future and the band played the "Star Spangled Banner" while the crowd gave three cheers for the new home. Sir.

Pi'tker said ju the way home: took me over i yeat lo get my O'vd -j this property. I there are people here who do not believe I am going to build a factory heie. 1 don't believe in wasting words but perhaps they will believe it when they see the dirt Hying which will be just as soon as we have a railroad spur on the grounds." Several engineers ot the Pacific were on the grounds this morning and all arrangements were made for starting at once on a spur which will run right into the grounds so that materials can be unloaded. "I am going to put up a finer building that I originally intended," said Mr. Parker.

"I have secured all thw working plans from which lie beautiful Ford automobile factory of Detroit was built and we aro going to duplicate it In every detail. The building will be four stories high and entirely constructed of 'liient and steel and glass. We will make all kinds of amusement devices at this point and here we will winter most of our shows. "We will winter the Western Show a 20-rar attraction, also the 21 and our 3 2 car shows. The latter is the show that Is here now.

Ti ls will give Leavenworth among othei things a first class zoological garden for about six months in the year as an attraction. Our aeroplanes will also be an attraction for the visitors I think." I have at times a great deal of heavy work to do and my back often becomes weak. I also had pains in my kidneys and was caused much suffering.

Leavenworth. June 3. (iaston La Comme, the little French aviator who is with the Parker aeroplane at Fort Leavenworth said this morning: "The machine wasn't badly damaged yesterday and I expect to have it ready for a flight this evening. The trouble was that I struck a cross current of air from the row of barracks and the machine slanted sideways and got beyond my control. You see in a machine as light as this It is all in the balancing.

"This machine is new and I am not used to it and I am simply experimenting how to pet the engine, tanks, located at exactly the right spot so as to give the machine stability in the air. Once I get that accomplished I will go up high and stay up for half an hour or so. "Yes, I have leen up high, 2r00 feet for an hour and a half In France. Yes, I have had some bad falls. That's what makes me cau tious.

I fell quite a distance in Paris not long ago and broke my arm. The bone stuck through the flesh four Inches. "Y'ou see 1 can fix a broken aero plane but I can't fix a broken neck so I am careful." Mr. Herman Q. press rep- resentati for the Parkpr srtows said this afternoon, "I am sorry that the erroneous impression has been given that this demonstration at the Fort is a show affair.

It is not Mr. Parker's intention to mak a show of it. We are simply taking advantage of the superb avia-' tion ground afforded and the interest of the officers to try out this new machine. I am sure that when (laston gets it balanced he will give a demonstration that will win him much applause. No handbills were made to advertise the flights." Weather Keport for May.
